Everyone know we adore having big play dates and parties. I find it easier to have 20 kids at my house than to pack my own 3 in the car and buckle them all in most days. I also love a good cause and a good glass of chocolate milk, so this party was right up my alley!
I have partnered with Ovaltine as an Oval Mom and was able to throw a backyard bash (in my front yard) for a bunch of my friends, give away a prize pack AND provide my local YMCA camps program with $250! How awesome is that?
All you need to throw a super fun party play date is a bunch of kids, a few things for them to play with and some snacks. Ovaltine sent a big party box full of outdoor games and a little Rich Chocolate flavor Ovaltine with some yummy recipes. I made my awesome Ovaltine Banana Split smoothies and we had a blast!
Oh, when it is 90 plus degrees, water helps. A lot.
So we brought out the big slide again and as usual, it was a big hit! This thing is perfect because the little ones can play without drowning in the bottom while the big kids LOVE the slide. I’m talking hours of entertainment here.
Violet hit the pool as usual and played with her little friends from pre-school. I have no fear of toddlers. Actually, I prefer them in numbers. They distract each other from my valuables.
I can’t thank Ovaltine enough for their generous donation to the Charlotte YMCA camps, which provide an opportunity for so many kids in Charlotte to have the camp experience mine are able to enjoy.
My family loves Ovaltine and was able to share the new formula with our guests as a party favor with the great little recipe book. One lucky mom won an adorable vintage looking straw dispenser as well as a $25 gift card. I love play with a giveaway!
Have your friends over, enjoy some yummy chocolate milk or other chocolaty goodness and enjoy the summer!
Disclosure: This post was sponsored by Ovaltine as part of my work as an Oval Mom. I was provided with a gift card to throw the party and purchase supplies. I was also able to choose a charity for the $250 donation. The opinions expressed are my own.
