Blue Sky Home Series by Susy Jack at Target {Review & Giveaway}

By August 23, 2011Reviews

School is starting and that means it is time to get organized!  Between hectic school days, activities, doctors appointments and meal planning it’s easy to get lost in the fray.  I love organizers and spend a LONG time in the organizational aisle at Target, where I already spend way too much time.  I love school supplies and planners and calendars and all that good stuff.  And I love when it is pretty.

This summer Blue Sky introduced a new line of home organization products designed by Susan Connor of Susy Jack, a fabulous paper designer.  I wish we were besties, because I adore fancy paper.  The home collection is gorgeous thanks to Suzy and totally tailored to families thanks to moms like you!  Blue Sky interviewed moms to find out what they wanted and put all that knowledge into these products.  As a mom, that’s what I like to hear.

The Blue Sky Home Series offers 14 different products, all under $10. Several large monthly dated calendars allow you to choose one that works best for your family. The collection also offers a range of dated planners and fun, functional organizing extras, including the compact Shopping Planner, playful Door Notes and handy Note Tote. The Blue Sky Home Series comes in two color palettes, “Warm” and “Cool,” and ranges in price from $3.99 to $9.99.

I was lucky enough to get a fun box of the collection to try out and overall I thought they were great.

I really LOVE the Notes Mousepad.  I have been using a magazine for a mousepad and thought I needed something better but as a digital mom this rocks.  You can use your fancy pens (I love pens) to write down those things you think of while browsing that you need to do, buy or people you need to call (or email).  It works great for the mouse and the house!

I like the calendar a lot, especially the notes area next to the monthly calendar. Like the mousepad, it’s really nice to have a place to jot things down.  I do wish the calendar area was larger, and would be happy with it spanning both sides and the notes area being on the next page, but this may just be me.  I prefer to put a lot on the monthly calendar and not use the daily as much.

I think the door notes are adorable, and if I had older kids I would be all over them.  With 3 kids 4 and under, these sometimes get colored before they got noticed.  Still, if you tend to stick notes all over the house these bright pops of color to hang on a doorknob will totally tell you to get your tush in gear!

Overall, I think these home products are super chic, very functional and super affordable…all musts for moms!  You can find these Susy Jack products and the full line of Blue Sky products at Target.  There are lots of options to choose from so have fun getting organized!  You can also check out the full selection of Blue Sky products on their websiteBlue Sky is on Facebook too, where they share tips and answer questions for their fans!

    I LOVE the calendar! I have yet to find a monthly calendar that has enough space for notes, lists, etc. This looks perfect! Keeping my numerous lists and important dates in one place would help me stay organized.

    My biggest struggle is remembering to write everything down! If I do, then I have post-its all over the place. Keeping everything together is a big problem for me!

    I’m not always efficient with my time. I start working on organizing projects with the hope that I’ll stay focused enough. I’m constantly trying to keep up with paper clutter.

    Keeping one central list is my biggest organizational hurdle. I often have 6 or 7 and can never find the one I need when I need it.

  • Jackie says:

    I have so many struggles when it comes to organization…. with four kids, blogging, and a job it seems that I’m always running in circles!
    I used to use Google calender but have moved to note cards! I find that when it comes to blogging I’ve been able to do a lot better with them. But with school starting and all the kids activities I don’t think that the note card method is going to work for everything!
