Deck the Walls with Minted.com {Review & Giveaway}

I am not a lover of blank walls.  Whether it is a professional painting or art photo, a family picture or a piece of my children’s artwork, I like to look at things I love in every room of my home.  I like all sorts of different art from all over the world and I love discovering new artists.   Having said this, I will say emphatically, art does not have to be expensive to be beautiful and make you smile.

The wall I look at when I fall asleep and when I wake up makes me happy.  I told you I don’t like blank walls! It has art prints from historical flora books that have my favorite colors, a Japanese woodblock, watercolors from Montmartre in Paris I picked up on a trip with my mom, an old print of Amsterdam that is from my husband’s grandmother, hand cut silhouettes of my children and this lovely art print map of Paris from a print artist I just discovered. There is a lot of love and history on this wall.

Minted Paris Print

I suppose I could tell you about each of these pieces and the moments that make them close to my heart, but for now, I want to tell you about where I discovered a great place to find wonderful, inexpensive art for your walls.

A few months ago I discovered Minted Wall Art from the company that makes the most beautiful cards I have ever seen.   There are hundreds of prints by independent artists produced on archival quality paper.  Many are limited editions and some are personalized for you, meaning they will be totally unique!  Many of the pieces Minted sells are submitted by artists in their ongoing Design Challenge. Artists submit work, we vote and the favorites are chosen to be sold on Minted’s wonderful platform.  I think this is all sorts of fabulous for artists and really want to hone my graphic design skills and submit something myself! How great to find a place for really cool pieces with excellent service and a great reputation for quality while supporting new artists as they find a following.

Paris in My Heart and On My Wall

I found a lot of prints I adored.  I found one that spoke to my heart right away.  I was sold!

I love Paris and I love maps and I just fell in love with this print of Paris by Shannon Chen of Four Wet Feet Design.  She was a design challenge winner with this piece.  I mean, this is perfect for me.  I love the deep bluish black, but if you fancy something lighter the artist makes it in Charcoal (shown), Rose and Sky.  Seriously though, the charcoal is all sorts of awesome and it feels passionate and deep and full of the wonder I feel when I am in the city of love.  It is a limited edition only offered by Minted and comes with a certificate of authenticity from Minted.  Best of all, it is just $65!  And hey, if you don’t love this one, there are hundreds more to choose from!

A Few Sweet Minted Details

One of the things I love about ordering from Minted is that what you see is what you get.  I swear to you, what I received looks just like the picture above, with all of the wonderful variations that a print has.  While you should always measure your space, I love that you can see all of the sizes up next to a person.  It helps to see just how big or small what yo think you want is.  I chose the 11×14 when I was going to order the larger one and I am so glad I did!

Minted Choose Size

Minted Masterpiece

If you haven’t finished your holiday shopping or have a wall that just doesn’t make you happy or any place that needs a little love, I would really encourage you to check out what Minted has to offer.  Art Prints are new for them and judging by the huge selection and the quality of the print I received, I would say they are knocking it out of the park!

Of course, if you want to send a little lovely love to all your friends, you could send them a fabulous Holiday card from Minted or choose one of their lovely stationery sets.  You could even find the perfect baby shower invitation here. Watch out, you could be on that site a very long time!

    I would get something for my home office that inspires me to do the work it takes to make something creative. There’s a giant blank space on the wall right above my monitor!
